Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 nos cabbage - finely chopped


  • 2-3 nos carrots cleaned and grated


  • 1/2 cups green round beans - sliced


  • 1/2 cups grated coconut


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 pinch chilly powder (optional) green chilies 2 or 3


  • 2-3 nos pearl onions


  • 2 nos garlic


  • 3/4 tsp seasoning : mustard seeds


  • 1 pinch urid daal


  • 2 nos dried red chilies


  • 1 sprig curry leaves

Directions

  • Chop or grate the vegetables and get these ready
  • Crush the onions, garlic & green chillies, combine the grated coconut well with this mixture, turmeric powder and chilly powder,Mix well and set aside
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan, Splutter mustard seeds and add curry leaves & saute the dried red chilies & urad daal
  • Add the crushed coconut mixture and stir for a few seconds till the raw smell goes
  • Now add the vegetables chopped & grated, and salt to taste,Mix well
  • Cover and cook till the vegetables are done
  • No water is required as there is adequate water content in the vegetables,Stir occasionally
  • When almost done, open the lid and cook till dry
