Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Bittergourd 1 nos

  • ginger 1 nos

  • green chillies 1-2 nos

  • thick sour yoghurt/curd 1 cups

  • Seasoning:mustard seeds 1 tsp

  • drychillies 1-2 nos

  • sliced onion 1 nos

  • curry leaves 5-6 nos

Directions

    Clean, remove seeds and slice the bitter gourd

  • 02

    Cook this well with adequate salt

  • 03

    When done, let it cool

  • 04

    Grind the cooked bitter gourd with ginger & chillies to make a fine paste

  • 05

    The amount of ginger taken should be enough to match the bitterness of the gourd

  • 06

    In a bowl, beat the mashed mixture with curd, add salt if required

  • 07

    Splutter mustard in hot oil and fry onion, dried chilly pieces and curry leaves

  • 08

    Add this to the curd mixture

  • 09

    It it tastes better if left for sometime and chilled, We can have this with rotis, kubboos, rice etc
