Crush together grated coconut, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, garlic and 2 nos of shallots,( if you are using mixer grinder, just pulse two or three times)
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds an allow them to splutter
Add sliced shallots, green chilli and curry leaves and sauté for two minutes
Add the grated cabbage, salt and mix well
Cook uncovered on medium heat for 2-3 minutes
Add crushed coconut mixture and mix well
Cook further for 2 mints and remove from the heat
