Ingredients
Serves 4
Jack fruit seeds cut into two pieces (lengthwise) 15 nos
Raw Mango (Peel and cut into chunks) 1 nos
Grated Coconut 1/2 nos
Shallots 2 nos
green chilli 2 nos
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Dried Red chilli 2 nos
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Salt 1 pinch
Oil 1 tsp
Directions
Grind together grated coconut, a pinch of turmeric powder, cumin seeds, shallots and green chilli to a fine paste,Keep aside
Pressure cook the jackfruit seeds adding salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and enough water (2 whistles)
Remove the cooker from the heat, let the pressure subside and open the lid
Add mango pieces and cook until soft and tender (add some water if required)
Add ground paste and mix well
Reduce the heat to low and cook about 2-3 minutes then turn off the heat
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds
When it starts spluttering add dried red chilli, curry leaves and fry for few seconds
Pour this seasoning over the curry, mix well and serve with boiled Rice
