Ingredients

  • 1 kgs lotus stem


  • 2 cups mustard oil


  • 4 tbsp red chili pepper


  • 3 tbsp turmeric powder


  • 6 tbsp mustard powder


  • 1/2 cups salt

Directions

  • Cut the llotus stems into slices.
  • Boil it until turns soft
  • Drain the boiled lotus stem through the strainer
  • In a bowl, mix the salt and spices very well and rub thoroughly over the pieces of lotus stem
  • pour mustard oil in pickle
  • Put a tight lid over the jar for 3 days till the pickle is ready
