Curd (Thayir) 1 cups
Water (vellam) 1 1/2 cups
Salt (uppu) 1/2 tsp
Green chillies (pachamulagu) 1 nos
Shallots- (Kunjulli) 2-3 nos
Ginger (inji) 1/2 nos
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Finely chop green chilli, ginger (peel the skin and chop) and shallots
You can also crush ginger and green chillies
Blend 1 cup of curd with 1 1/2 cup of water
You can also use the traditional wooden churner called mattu
Add salt to taste
Then add shallots, curry leaves, crushed ginger and green chillies
Mix well and leave it for 5 minutes for the flavors to get infused
Sambaram is ready to be served.
You can skip shallots, if you do not prefer, but it tastes so good and it is good for the health!!!
