Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cups grated coconut


  • 6 nos chuvannulli(shallots)


  • 1 pinch cumin seeds(jeerakam)


  • 1 1/2 tsp chili powder


  • 1 pinch turmeric powder


  • 1/4 cups toor dal


  • 3 cups drumstick leaves(muringayila)


  • 2 pinch (as per taste)salt-


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 1/4 tsp mustard


  • 1 tbsp shallots(cut in circle shape)


  • 3 nos dried red chilli(cut in vertically)


  • 1 sprig curry leaves-as per need


  • 1/4 cups grated coconut

Directions

  • Grind the grated 1 cup coconut finely
  • To this add chuvannulli,cumin seeds,chilli powder and turmeric powder
  • Mix well
  • Cook toor dal(some water must be there)
  • When toor dal is cooked,add drumstick leaves and salt and close the top and cook for some time
  • Take a pan and heat some oil in it
  • Add mustard and curry leaves to the pan
  • Add grated 1/4 cup coconut to it and mix well
  • When the mixture turns into brown color add grind coconut mixture to it,mix well
  • Add this to the drumstick leaves and mix well
  • Serve hot
