Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 nos pineapple medium sized


  • 1 pinch saffron


  • 2 cups water


  • 1 cups cooked yellow moong dal


  • 2 1/2 cups thick coconut milk (first milk)


  • 1 cups condensed milk


  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar to taste


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 6-7 nos cashew nut

Directions

  • Cut the pineapple into pieces of about 1/2 inch in length
  • In a vessel, add pineapple and saffron and let cook
  • When almost done, add moong dal and cook again for about 5 minutes while stirring well
  • Now add coconut milk, stir once and let boil
  • Now add cardamom and condensed milk
  • Heat until it starts boiling
  • Add sugar if needed
  • Heat ghee in a frying pan, add cashew nut and roast
  • Pour this mixture into pineapple payasam
