Ingredients

Serves 4

  • pineapple medium sized 1 nos

  • saffron 1 pinch

  • water 2 cups

  • cooked yellow moong dal 1 cups

  • Thick coconut milk (first milk) 2 1/2 cups

  • condensed milk 1 cups

  • Powdered sugar to taste 2 tbsp

  • Ghee 1 tbsp

  • Cashew nut 6-7 nos

Directions

    Cut the pineapple into pieces of about 1/2 inch in length

  • 02

    In a vessel, add pineapple and saffron and let cook

  • 03

    When almost done, add moong dal and cook again for about 5 minutes while stirring well

  • 04

    Now add coconut milk, stir once and let boil

  • 05

    Now add cardamom and condensed milk

  • 06

    Heat until it starts boiling

  • 07

    Add sugar if needed

  • 08

    Heat ghee in a frying pan, add cashew nut and roast

  • 09

    Pour this mixture into pineapple payasam
