Slice the onions thinly and take them in a mixing bowl
Now add 2 tbsp gram flour ,baking soda,cumin powder,chili powder and mix well
Add flour little by little sprinkling a little water
The consistency should not be liquid at all
The batter should be thick
Heat generous amount of mustard oil in a kadai to fry fritters

Drop few spoons of batter into the hot oil carefully
Fry at low flame until they are golden brown and done
Serve hot with any of your favorite sauce
