Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Milk, skimmed milk 1 1/4 litre

  • Rice, washed n soaked for 1/2 an hour 1/4 cups

  • Sugar 5 nos

  • Almonds 10 nos

  • Cashewnuts 10 nos

  • Kishmish 2 tbsp

  • Ghee 1 tsp

  • Green cardamom / Hari elaichi 3 nos

Directions

    Heat milk in a heavy bottom deep pot on high flame till one boil

  • 02

    Stir continuously

  • 03

    Reduce heat on low flame

  • 04

    Add soaked rice and ghee in milk n cook till turn thick

  • 05

    First 30 min

  • 06

    stir 4 - 5 times in between

  • 07

    After that stir continuously so that it will not burn in bottom

    After next 20 min add kishmish, sugar and cook for another 10 minutes

    Stir continuously while cooking

  • 10

    Now sprinkle green cardamom powder and mix well

    Switch off gas stove

  • 12

    Cool it down naturally

    Fry almonds and cashewnuts in ghee on medium​ flame then roughly chopped it

  • 14

    Add dry fruits in kheer before serving
