Ingredients

Serves 10

  • Thick Red chillies - 1Kg

  • Ginger - 250 Gms

  • Garlic - 250 Gms

  • Tamarind - 250 Gms (seedless)

  • White vinegar - 1 Cup

  • Turmeric powder - 2 Tsp

  • Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 Tsp

  • Salt - 1/2 Cup / to taste

  • Mustard oil - 1 Cup

Directions

    Wash and wipe chillies with kitchen towel

    Take out stems and cut into small pieces

  • 03

    Wash and peel off ginger, Now chop the in thick slice

  • 04

    Peel off garlic cloves and keep aside

  • 05

    Take small portion of each ingredients together and make a coarse paste in grinder

    Repeat till all amount finish

    Take a large wooden or pastic bowl

    Put this paste in that

    Now add turmeric powder, Kashmiri chillies powder and salt n mix well

    Keep this bowl in full sunlight

    Stir it several times

    In night soak tamarind in vinegar

    It should be covered under vinegar

    Next morning mash tamarind properly and filter through sieve

    Now add this paste into chilli mixture and mix very well

    Keep it in full sunlight

    Stir several times so that extra water will be evaporate nicely

    Heat oil in a pan on high flame

    Let it cool down naturally

    Add this oil in chillies mixture and mix very well

    We have to keep this pickle in sunlight till consistency thickens

    Keep this pickle in a clean n dry glass jar,Within a week this pickle will be ready to eat
