For the cake batter :organic whole wheat flour 2 cups
Sugar powder 2.5 cups
Pure cocoa powder(without milk content) 4 tbsp
Caramel sugar 2 tbsp
Orange juice 1/2 cups
Soya milk 1/4 cups
Orange essence 3-4 dash
Margarine 3/4 cups
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Baking powder 3 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Coconut milk 2 tbsp
For the cake dressing : Grated coconut 1/4 cups
Grated orange peel 1 tbsp
Cherries 15 nos
Almonds 8-10 nos
Margarine 2 tbsp
Sugar powder 4 tbsp
Soya milk 1 tsp
Sieve the whole wheat flour. Then add in the baking powder and salt into the flour. Now sieve it once again
Preheat the oven for 15 minutes at 180 degree celsius.
In the meanwhile, take a bowl ,pour the orange juice, margarine, coconut milk, soya milk , caramel sugar,orange essence and sugar powder one after the other.Stir it well so that there are no lumps or bubbles.
Now slowly add the orepared flour to this mixture and stir properly.Note that no lumps are formed and blend the mixture thoroughly.
Take the cake mould and grease it with vegetable oil.Then sprinkle some organic wheat flour on top.
Tranfer the batter into half of the greased mould . Bake it for approximately 45 to 50 minutes. Once baked, let it cool for sometime.
To prepare the icing - Take a bowl . Add 2 tablespoons of margarine , 1 tsp of soya milk ,4 tbsp of sugar powder . Then blend it thoroughly.
Apply the icing onto the cake with the help of a brush.Then drizzle the grated orange peel on top of the icing.
Now garnish it alternatively with grated coconut , cherries and almonds . Cut the cake into slices and Serve.
