Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Baby/ any other type potatoes 250 gms

  • Garlic paste 1 tsp

  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

  • Chilly powder 1 tbsp

  • Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp

  • Mustard oil 4 tbsp

  • Salt to taste 1 pinch

Directions

    Wash potatoes in running water properly, Cut potatoes semi thick pieces with skin and soak in water

  • 02

    Heat oil in a kadhai or frypan on medium flame,Crack fenugreek seeds in oil till pink colour

  • 03

    Put potatoes pieces in kadhai n stir once, Cover it with lid and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes

    Now open the lid, add turmeric powder,chilly powder and garlic paste in potatoes n stir properly,Again cover it with lid n cook for 10 minutes

    Stir 2-3 times in between,Add salt to taste and fry until potatoes turns into light brown colour

  • 06

    Serve hot with hot pooris, paratha and chapati

  • 07

    It tastes very good with steamed rice, daal and coriander chatney/pickle
