Ingredients
Serves 4
Yellow lentil (moong daal) 2 cups
Raw rice 1 cups
Garlic cloves peeled off 6 nos
Green chillies ,to taste 3 nos
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Aniseeds 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves(optional) 1 tsp
Vegetable oil for shallow frying 200 ml
Salt 1 pinch
For serving - Green chatney / dip 2 tbsp
Mango's sweet n sour chutney/ dip 2 tbsp
Directions
Wash yellow lentils and raw rice properly
Soak for 3 hours
Put rice, lentil, green chillies, garlic cloves and cumin seeds in a mixture jar and make fine paste from it
You can grind it in two batches
Now add carom seeds,turmeric powder,salt and coriander leaves n mix well
Add little water in batter to get desire consistency, It should be as thick as dosa batter so it will be spread evenly in the pan
Heat a heavy bottom fry pan/ tawa on high flame, Now reduce heat on medium heat
Sprinkle little water on pan,then wipe off with kitchen towel
Take one big spoon batter and spread fastly on preheated pan,Now sprinkle little oil on chila
Cook it for 2 minutes then turn it, Cook another side for 1 minute,Take out from pan
Repeat this process for rest of batter till lasts
Serve hot with any type of chatney/ dip as per your preference
