Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour


  • 1 tbsp carom seeds (ajwain)


  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil / clarifying butter (ghee)


  • 1 tbsp chilly powder


  • 1 pinch salt


  • 150 ml vegetable oil -for shallow frying

Directions

  • Take a large bowl
  • Mix all dry ingredients as wheat flour, carom seeds, chilly powder,salt and 3 tbsp vegetable oil together
  • Rub properly for 1 minute with help of both palm
  • Make semi hard dough with help of luke warm water
  • Knead it gently for 5 minutes
  • Now cover the dough with damp cloth and keep aside for 1/2 an hour
  • Divide dough in equal parts and make lemon size ball
  • Make round shape parathas with help of cylinder shape wodden log
  • Heat a heavy bottom pan on medium heat
  • Put one paratha on the pan,Turn it after 30 seconds
  • Now sprinkle little oil on it and cook both sides till light brown colour
  • Take out from pan and keep it in a plate
  • Repeat this process for rest of parathas till done
  • Serve hot parathas with any type of vegetables, curd and pickle
