CHANA DAL - CURRY PATTE KI CHATNEY

Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1/2 cups gram dal


  • 1/2 cups curd


  • 1 tsp ginger


  • 6 nos garlic


  • 3 nos green chillies


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 6 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 tsp sugar


  • 2 nos dry red chilly


  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil


  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

  • Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan on high flame
  • Reduce flame on medium
  • Add green chillies, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, coriander seeds, cumin seeds in oil and fry for 1 minute
  • Now add gram dal and fry for another 3 minutes or till dal's colour changes
  • Take out in a bowl add add 3/4 cup water
  • Soak as it is for 20 minutes
  • Put this mixture along with water in chatney jar and grind it for 1 minute
  • Add little more water for smooth grinding
  • Now add sugar, salt, curd and make fine paste
  • Sift chatney in a serving bowl
  • You can add more water as per your preference
  • Heat rest of oil in a small pan/ temparing pan
  • Add mustard seeds, chilly and rest of curry leaves
  • Fry for few seconds
  • Add it in chatney and mix very well
  • Enjoy this yummy chatney with Dosa, Idly, Uttapam and Paniyaram
