CHANA DAL - CURRY PATTE KI CHATNEY

Ingredients

Serves 2

  • Gram dal 1/2 cups

  • Curd 1/2 cups

  • ginger 1 tsp

  • garlic 6 nos

  • green chillies 3 nos

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp

  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp

  • Curry leaves 6 sprig

  • Sugar 1 tsp

  • Dry red chilly 2 nos

  • Vegetable oil 2 tbsp

  • Salt 1 pinch

Directions

    Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan on high flame

  • 02

    Reduce flame on medium

  • 03

    Add green chillies, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, coriander seeds, cumin seeds in oil and fry for 1 minute

  • 04

    Now add gram dal and fry for another 3 minutes or till dal's colour changes

    Take out in a bowl add add 3/4 cup water

  • 06

    Soak as it is for 20 minutes

    Put this mixture along with water in chatney jar and grind it for 1 minute

    Add little more water for smooth grinding

    Now add sugar, salt, curd and make fine paste

    Sift chatney in a serving bowl

    You can add more water as per your preference

    Heat rest of oil in a small pan/ temparing pan

  • 13

    Add mustard seeds, chilly and rest of curry leaves

  • 14

    Fry for few seconds

  • 15

    Add it in chatney and mix very well

  • 16

    Enjoy this yummy chatney with Dosa, Idly, Uttapam and Paniyaram
