Ingredients

Serves 4

  • cabbage finely chopped 1/2 nos

  • carrots cleaned and grated 2-3 nos

  • green round beans sliced 1 cups

  • Grated coconut 1/2 cups

  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

  • Chilly powder a small pinch optional Green chilies 2-3 nos

  • Pearl onions 2-3 nos

  • garlic 2 nos

  • Seasoning Mustard seeds 3-4 tsp

  • Urid daal 1 pinch

  • Dried red chilies 2 nos

  • Curry leaves 1 sprig

Directions

    Chop or grate the vegetables and get these ready

    Crush the onions garlic green chillies combine the grated coconut well with this mixture turmeric powder and chilly powder

    Mix well and set aside

  • 04

    Heat oil in a deep frying pan Splutter mustard seeds and add curry leaves saut the dried red chilies urid daal

    Add the crushed coconut mixture and stir for a few seconds till the raw smell goes

    Now add the vegetables chopped grated and salt to taste

    Mix well

    Cover and cook till the vegetables are done

  • 09

    No water is required as there is adequate water content in the vegetables

    Stir occasionally

  • 11

    When almost done open the lid and cook till dry

  • 12

    Remove from the oven serve warm with rice gravy
