Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/2 nos cabbage finely chopped


  • 2-3 nos carrots cleaned and grated


  • 1 cups green round beans sliced


  • 1/2 cups grated coconut


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2-3 nos chilly powder a small pinch optional green chilies


  • 2-3 nos pearl onions


  • 2 nos garlic


  • 3-4 tsp seasoning mustard seeds


  • 1 pinch urid daal


  • 2 nos dried red chilies


  • 1 sprig curry leaves

Directions

  • Chop or grate the vegetables and get these ready
  • Crush the onions garlic green chillies combine the grated coconut well with this mixture turmeric powder and chilly powder
  • Mix well and set aside
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan Splutter mustard seeds and add curry leaves saut the dried red chilies urid daal
  • Add the crushed coconut mixture and stir for a few seconds till the raw smell goes
  • Now add the vegetables chopped grated and salt to taste
  • Mix well
  • Cover and cook till the vegetables are done
  • No water is required as there is adequate water content in the vegetables
  • Stir occasionally
  • When almost done open the lid and cook till dry
  • Remove from the oven serve warm with rice gravy
