Ingredients

Serves 4

  • small sized bittergourd 1 nos

  • ginger 1 nos

  • greenchillies 1-2 nos

  • thick sour yoghurt curd 1 cups

  • salt to taste 1 pinch

  • For seasoning :mustard sliced 1 tsp

  • onion 1 nos

  • dry chillies 1-2 nos

  • curry leaves 1 sprig

Directions

    Clean remove seeds and slice the bitter gourd

  • 02

    Cook this well with adequate salt

  • 03

    When done let it cool

  • 04

    Grind the cooked bitter gourd with ginger chillies to make a fine paste

  • 05

    The amount of ginger taken should be enough to match the bitterness of the gourd

  • 06

    In a bowl beat the mashed mixture with curd add salt if required

  • 07

    Splutter mustard in hot oil and fry onion dried chilly pieces and curry leaves

  • 08

    Add this to the curd mixture

  • 09

    It tastes better if left for sometime and chilled

  • 10

    We can have this with rotis kubboos rice etc
