Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups whole green gram


  • 4-5 tbsp oil


  • 2 tbsp oil for tempering


  • 1/2 tbsp salt


  • 4-5 nos green chillies cut into slits


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 tsp baking soda


  • 1/2 cups curd

Directions

  • Soak the green gr for whole night
  • Next morning take the gram into a mixer jar and grind it into a smooth paste with 2 batches by adding curd into it
  • Add salt and oil into it and mix well
  • Prepare a steamer and
  • Add baking soda into it and give it a quick mix and put it to steam
  • Steam for approx 15 minutes or till a knife comes out clean on medium heat
  • Prepare temering by adding 2. Tbsp oil in a wok , add mustard seeds and curry leaves to splutter
  • Add green chililes and saute for a while
  • Pour the temper on dhokla and cut into pieces and serve
