Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cups rice flour


  • 2 tbsp wheat flour


  • 3 nos ripened banana


  • 3/4 tsp cardamom powder


  • 1/2 cups brown sugar


  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds


  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Directions

  • Blend the banana nicely using a blender
  • Add rice flour, wheat flour, baking powder, brown sugar, cardamom and blend it together
  • Add sesame seeds
  • The consistency of the batter should be little thicker
  • Heat the paniyaram griddle
  • Add few drops of oil to each hole and pour the batter
  • When the edges turns golden brown flip it
  • Allow it to cook on medium heat for another couple of minutes.
  • If the heat is too high, the outside will get browned up too fast before the inside is cooked
  • When unniyappam is done, it is like a ball and comes out easily from the griddle
  • Ready to serve
