Ingredients

Serves 5

  • rice flour 1 cups

  • wheat flour 2 tbsp

  • ripened banana 3 nos

  • cardamom powder 3/4 tsp

  • brown sugar 1/2 cups

  • toasted sesame seeds 2 tsp

  • baking powder 1/4 tsp

Directions

    Blend the banana nicely using a blender

  • 02

    Add rice flour, wheat flour, baking powder, brown sugar, cardamom and blend it together

  • 03

    Add sesame seeds

  • 04

    The consistency of the batter should be little thicker

  • 05

    Heat the paniyaram griddle

  • 06

    Add few drops of oil to each hole and pour the batter

  • 07

    When the edges turns golden brown flip it

  • 08

    Allow it to cook on medium heat for another couple of minutes.

    If the heat is too high, the outside will get browned up too fast before the inside is cooked

  • 10

    When unniyappam is done, it is like a ball and comes out easily from the griddle

    Ready to serve
