Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 500 gms boiled rice


  • 2 tsp fenugreek seed (uluva)


  • 100 gms shallott (small onion)


  • 1 cups grated coconut flakes


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 5 cups water

Directions

  • Chopp shallots and coconut into small pieces
  • Add water, rice, shallots, uluva in a big pot and heat
  • Add coconut flakes when it become boil and put flame in very low position
  • Stir frequently when water evaporating and also close air tightly
  • When rice is cook well, switch off flame.
  • Now the traditional Malabar nostalgic THENGA CHORU is ready for serving
