Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • 500 gms raw rice or basmati rice


  • 500 gms jaggery


  • 1 cups cooked rice


  • 5 tbsp coconut flakes


  • 6 nos cardamom


  • 5 nos shallot (small bulb type onion)


  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin)


  • 1 pinch backing soda


  • 1 tbsp salt


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 1 tbsp ghee


  • 1 cups water

Directions

  • Sock the rice in water for 2 hours
  • Blend the rice using 1 cup of water
  • Add the coocked rice and blend again
  • Boil the Jaggery using little water
  • Add the Jaggery syrup into batter
  • Add cardamom, cumin, salt and mix well
  • Heat pressure cooker, add oil and ghee
  • Fry coconut flakes and chopped shallots
  • Then pour the mixture into pressure cooker
  • Heat the cooker 25 minute in very small flame
  • Note Don't use wight for cooker and don't stir
  • Ready for serving
