Ingredients

Serves 8

  • Raw rice or Basmati rice 500 gms

  • Jaggery 500 gms

  • Cooked rice 1 cups

  • Coconut flakes 5 tbsp

  • Cardamom 6 nos

  • Shallot (small bulb type onion) 5 nos

  • Jeera (cumin) 1 tsp

  • Backing soda 1 pinch

  • Salt 1 tbsp

  • Oil 2 tbsp

  • Ghee 1 tbsp

  • Water 1 cups

Directions

    Sock the rice in water for 2 hours

  • 02

    Blend the rice using 1 cup of water

  • 03

    Add the coocked rice and blend again

  • 04

    Boil the Jaggery using little water

  • 05

    Add the Jaggery syrup into batter

  • 06

    Add cardamom, cumin, salt and mix well

  • 07

    Heat pressure cooker, add oil and ghee

  • 08

    Fry coconut flakes and chopped shallots

  • 09

    Then pour the mixture into pressure cooker

  • 10

    Heat the cooker 25 minute in very small flame

  • 11

    Note Don't use wight for cooker and don't stir

  • 12

    Ready for serving
