  • strong coffee / espresso 12 ounces

  • vanilla extract 2 tbsp

  • Kahlua liqueur 1 1/2 cups

  • marscapone cheese, room temperature 16 ounces

  • powdered sugar 1/2 tbsp

  • heavy whipping cream, chilled 1 litre

  • lady finger cookies 500 gms

  • shaved dark chocolate for garnish 1/2 cups


  • 01

    Mix espresso, Kahlua, and vanilla in a shallow dish. Let cool before adding to cheese.

    whip the heavy cream in a standing mixer with a whisk attachment on high until cream reaches semi stiff peaks. Transfer whipped cream to another Bowl

    in standing mixer Bowl beat marscapone cheese with powdered sugar until smooth

  • 04

    and 4 tablespoons of cool espresso mixture and mix well. Gently fold in the whipped cream into the cream

    dip the rounded half of the lady finger in the coffee mixture and place in a single layer in a 9 by 13 by 4 glass pan

    you can break ladyfingers in half to fill in the corners if needed

    put half of the filling over the lady finger layer and spread evenly dip another later

  • 08

    dip another layer of ladyfingers and coffee in place over the cheese

  • 09

    use the rest of the feeling to create a top layer and smooth out

  • 10

    cover the top layer with one sheet of paper towels to collect condensation and cover with Saran Wrap

  • 11

    refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight

  • 12

    to serve remove the paper towels and garnish with the shaved chocolate
