Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • chicken pieces 500gm


  • onions 250gm chopped


  • ginger garlic paste 1 cup


  • salt 6 tsp


  • coriander leaves 20 gm


  • 4 medium sized tomatos chopped


  • chicken, mutton, garam masala each 1 small pack


  • oil 1/2 cup


  • cinnamon 1 large


  • 300gm basmati rice (soaked 30 min in water)


  • green chillies 5 large chopped longitudinal halves


  • water 1 small jug


  • turmeric powder 1 tsp

Directions

  • heat oil in pressure cooker
  • add cinnamon
  • add chillies
  • add onions
  • fry until golden brown
  • add ginger garlic paste
  • fry for 2 min
  • add tomatoes
  • fry until tomatoes dissolve partially
  • add all spices(masala) nd turmeric powder
  • add salt
  • fry until a paste like structure formed
  • add chicken pieces
  • fry until chicken pieces gets softned
  • add more oil if ..base of pressure cookers sticks to gravy
  • add 2 cups water nd allow it to boil
  • when chicken gets soften add soaked rice into cooker nd add water 1 inch above rice lvl
  • cover the lid nd wait for 1st whistle
  • open the cooker nd check water gets evaporated or not add coriander leaves nd stir well cover the cooker nd cool for 2 min
  • your chicken briyani is ready ...taste best along with sip of chilled coke
