Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1/4 cup of oil


  • 1 large sliced onion


  • 2 chicken breast cut into small pieces


  • 2 tbsp of garlic paste


  • 1 tbsp of ginger paste


  • 1 pckt of Shan Singha Biryani space


  • 100 ml of water


  • 5 tbsp of yogurt


  • 1 cup of water


  • 4 cups of rinsed basmati rice

Directions

  • Turn on Saute setting
  • Fry onion till they turn brown
  • Add the garlic paste
  • Add the ginger paste
  • Add 1 sachet of the biryani spice
  • Add water to prevent sticking
  • Fry until chicken is half cooked
  • Mix well
  • Add about 1 cup of water to cover the chicken
  • Bring the mix to a boil
  • Add 4 cups of rinsed basmati rice
  • Add water to about an inch above the surface of the rice
  • Do not mix
  • Press cancel to end saute mode
  • Place the lid on the instant pot
  • Lock the lid and set the steam release valve on sealing position
  • Select manual mode and set the cooking time to 8 minutes
  • Instant pot is now on and pressure will begin to to build
  • Once there is sufficient pressure the silver valve will rise up in the cooking countdown will begin
  • Once the countdown is over turn the steam valve preventing position to release steam
  • It is safe to open the instant pot once this other pin drops
