Turn on Saute setting
Fry onion till they turn brown
Add the garlic paste
Add the ginger paste
Add 1 sachet of the biryani spice
Add water to prevent sticking
Fry until chicken is half cooked
Mix well
Add about 1 cup of water to cover the chicken
Bring the mix to a boil
Add 4 cups of rinsed basmati rice
Add water to about an inch above the surface of the rice
Do not mix
Press cancel to end saute mode
Place the lid on the instant pot
Lock the lid and set the steam release valve on sealing position
Select manual mode and set the cooking time to 8 minutes
Instant pot is now on and pressure will begin to to build
Once there is sufficient pressure the silver valve will rise up in the cooking countdown will begin
Once the countdown is over turn the steam valve preventing position to release steam
