BBQ pears with brown sugar sour cream

Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 4 nos pears, peeled, halved lengthways


  • 30 gms butter


  • 1 tbsp brown sugar


  • 2 nos cinnamon sticks, crushed


  • 2 tbsp brown sugar, extra


  • 200 gms sour cream

Directions

  • Use a teaspoon to remove the cores from the pears. Heat a barbeque plate on a medium heat.
  • Place the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan over a medium heat and stir until the butter melts and sugar dissolves.
  • Brush the sugar mixture evenly over the pears and cook the pears on the barbeque for about 3 minutes each side or until golden and caramelised.
  • Sprinkle the extra brown sugar over the sour cream and just swirl through. Serve with the warm pears.
