Ingredients

Serves 1

  • 8ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1⁄2 cup butter, softened (NOT MARGARINE)

  • 1clove garlic , minced

  • 1⁄2 teaspoon cracked peppercorn

  • 1teaspoon shallots or 1 teaspoon green onion, finely chopped

  • 1pinch salt & fresh ground pepper

  • 2tablespoons milk

  • 1cup regular sour cream or 1 cup light sour cream

  • 1teaspoon horseradish sauce

  • 1teaspoon red onion, finely chopped

  • 2teaspoons fresh dill, chopped or 1 teaspoon dried dill

  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

  • 2teaspoons lemon juice

  • 1teaspoon sugar

  • 1clove garlic , minced

  • 2teaspoons fresh gingerroot, finely chopped

  • 2teaspoons sesame oil

  • 1⁄4 cup soy sauce

  • 1⁄4 cup sherry wine or 1⁄4 cup sake

  • 1tablespoon packed brown sugar

  • 1tablespoon cornstarch

Directions

    Cracked Pepper Sauce: Beat cream cheese& butter together until smooth.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix.

    Chill a few hours or overnight to blend flavors.

    Serve at room temperature.

    Dill Sauce: Combine all ingredients.

    Chill several hours or overnight.

    Teriyaki Sauce: Saute garlic and ginger in oil 30 seconds.

    Add soy sauce, water,& Sake.

    Bring to a boil over medium heat.

    Combine brown sugar and cornstarch.

    Stir into Sake mixture.

  • 12

    Heat& stir until thickened.

  • 13

    Serve at room temperature or warm.
