Heat oil and fry half onions. Take fried onions out for later use. Purée other half onion add to pot.

2lb skinless chicken cut up in small pieces. Spices: 1TBs salt 1TBs Chilli powder 1TBs Corriander powder 1TBs Cumin powder and 1tps Tumeric powder' OR 4 TB SHAN spices.
