Keep aside soaked rice for about 30-60 min.
Slice onion and chop potatoes into small pieces.
Heat oil in frying pan, put sliced onions and continue heating.
When the onions turn golden, add turmeric powder and ginger-garlic paste. Heat for another minute and add potatoes and peas.
Saute for 2-3 minutes, add little water and cook till the potatoes and peas are half cooked.
Add rice, salt and red chilli powder. Mix and add 2 cups of water and boil.
Cover and boil rice under reduced flame.
Serve with curd.
